The famous Taj Mahal is called as “crown of palaces”. It is a gorgeous white marble site, situated in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. It can be easily viewed from the banks of Yamuna river, and is having two identical buildings around– Mihman Khana (on left) and Taj Mahal mosque (on right). This gorgeous palace was built by Mughal emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his third wife, Mumtaz Mahal. The Taj Mahal is spread in an area of 221 hectare.
